Upcoming Features - Chain of Title, Title Worksheets, GIS Integration

July 1, 2009

We are continuously improving LANDBOSS, below are a few modules that are already in development.

Online Mapping

This is our most anticipated feature. We are currently working integrate tracts within LANDBOSS with a GIS software that will allow us to display maps in real-time and overlay information such as lease status. *UPDATE - Mapping has been in the live system for over a year now and working great!

Chain of Title - Runsheets

Input the chain of title for a given tract into the system and LANDBOSS can save you a lot of time and effort by automatically generating the ownership based on interests conveyed. You can also

Title Worksheets

Many landmen use the courthouse documents for the area they are working and do a first pass review of the documents and take notes, either by hand or in a Excel spreadsheet. The inherent problem with this is that to create the ownership report (among other reports) this data first gets copied into other spreadsheets to show chain of title per tract and then copied a third time to create the ownership report! Copying information not only wastes time, it leads to mistakes and errors. By using title worksheets to take notes, the data can be easily transferred to the chain of title on a specific tract and then into the ownership data with a simple click of the button.

Tract Analyzer

The tract analyzer is a powerful analysis tool for that we are in the progress of building. Given a list of instruments starting from a single historical tract, the analyzer will determine when the tracts have divided or undivided interest. By doing this, it can show the tracts as they stand today. This is only for Township-Range (Jeffersonian) tracts.
